HCS Safety Ltd (HCS) collects certain information or data about you when you use or arrange to use one of our services, including site inspections and training.


What data do we collect?

  • Questions, queries or feedback you leave, including your email address if you contact us.
  • Your email address and subscription preferences when you sign up to our email alerts, and how you use our emails – for example whether you open them and which links you click on.
  • Your Internet Protocol (IP) address, and details of which version of web browser you used.
  • Information on how you use the site, using cookies and page tagging techniques.
  • Information on previous and current bookings you have made with HCS for services that we provide, including site inspections and training.


This data is collected and will only be viewed and accessed by HCS and with our chosen marketing consultants to;

  • improve the site by monitoring how you use it
  • gather feedback to improve our services, for example our email alerts or course feedback
  • respond to any feedback you send us, if you’ve asked us to
  • send email alerts to users who request them
  • provide you with information about our products and services that we believe would benefit you and your business.


Where your data is stored

We store your data on secure servers only accessible to and within HCS Safety Ltd.

Those who have subscribed to our mailing list will have their chosen, supplied data stored with Mailchimp.Com. Click here to view Mailchimp’s Privacy Policy.

When you book a course with HCS Safety, we use a programme known as Booking Bug. This programme stores only the information that you have provided whilst booking a training course.  It is only accessible to HCS and is used to contact you regarding your training and subsequent certification.

All customers of HCS Safety who partake in products of monetary value, including training and services, will have data held on our Sage account. This data is only accessible by HCS and will only be used for invoicing and payment purposes.


Keeping your data secure

Sending information over the internet is generally not completely secure, and we can’t guarantee the security of your data while it’s in transit.

Any data you send is at your own risk.

We have procedures and security features in place to keep your data secure once we receive it.


Disclosing your information

We may pass on your personal information if we have a legal obligation to do so, or if we have to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements.

We will not share your information with any other organisations for marketing, market research or commercial purposes, and we don’t pass on your details to other websites.


Your rights

At any time you can request to find out what information we hold about you, as well as asking us not to use any of the information we collect.

If you’ve signed up for email alerts, you can unsubscribe or change your settings at any time by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ link that appears at the base of every email.

If you contact HCS directly via email, we will only hold the messages and information that you provide in the communications between us.


Member Clients

Part of your Membership with HCS is that we keep you up to date with Newsletters, Safety Alerts and relevant updates.  These communications are made with your personally nominated email address and contact information provided by you at sign up.

We also use your logo and supply a link to your business website from our own website, as agreed to in your Membership terms and Conditions. However, you have the right to opt out of this at any time by providing written confirmation to either or by letter to our business address.


Links to other websites also contains links to other websites that are outside of our control, for example links to our Member Client’s websites, relevant blogs or services.
