Emergency First Aid

Who is the training intended for?

For suitable volunteers working in low risk environments, or on sites where there are less than 5 persons working.

Aims and Objectives:

To ensure that delegates have the skills and knowledge to carry out the duties of an emergency first aider in line with current legislation.

Following the course, delegates will be able to:

• State the principles of First Aid
• Carry out cardio-pulmonary resuscitation
• Recognise the symptoms of impaired respiration
• Place a casualty in the recovery position
• Select and apply dressings to injuries
• Recognise other medical conditions such as burns and poisons
