Site Inspections

We can carry out independent inspections of your sites, leaving a report printed out (with digital photographs if appropriate) and talk through any issues with the site management team and operatives. During the visit we will look at the working environment, welfare facilities, plant and equipment and documentation. We have a variety of report formats available, or we can create a new one just for you. This can be particularly useful if you require a scoring system to keep tabs on specific issues. Toolbox talks can be included if required. Visits can be weekly, fortnightly or monthly depending on your project.

Safety Documentation


An up to date, written safety policy is a legal requirement for all companies who employ 5 or more persons. Our policies are tailor made for the way your company works and are available in electronic format as well as hard copy so they can be kept up to date easily.

Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans are a requirement for all notifiable construction projects, and we are happy to support our Principal Contractor clients by providing these.

Following discussions with those carrying out the work, we can write clear, realistic risk assessments and safe systems of work for you or help to guide you and your operatives through the process. If you require a specific risk assessment or method statement for a problematic project, we can meet you on the site, with the client or Principal Contractor if required, to discuss and agree working methods.

CDM Coordinator

HCS have been working with the CDM Regulations since they first came into force. Our clients have included The Civil Aviation Authority, BBC, The Meteorological Office, Nationwide Building Society, TAG Aviation and Compaq to name but a few. We pride ourselves on providing clear, relevant documentation and full support throughout the project.

Accident Investigation

Investigating accidents and near misses in order to prevent recurrences is an essential part of safety management. An independent report with recommendations will be issued following a visit to the site and interviews with witnesses and injured parties (as appropriate).

 

Office and Workshop Inspections

An inspection of your office or workshop can be arranged, to ensure that it complies with the Workplace (Health, Safety and Welfare) Regulations 1992 and other relevant legislation.

DSE Assessments

All users of Display Screen Equipment are entitled to an assessment of their workstation. Following a visit to your workplace and using questionnaires from your employees, we can provide you with a full report including recommendations for legal compliance.
